How To Order/Availability
Ordering Process
Please read EVERY detail of the ordering process and refer back to it as needed to keep Leah’s time and schedule running smoothly.
1. CHECKING AVAILABILITY. First and most importantly first - see the below Google Calendar for Leah’s Sweet Dreams. Please look at the date you would like to PICK-UP your order.
If you see… “BOOKED - NOT ACCEPTING ORDERS” it means that Leah will not be able to fulfill your order on that day. Thank you for considering and Leah hopes she can fit you in next time!
If you see… “OOPS - NOT BOOKING YET!” it means you are looking too far ahead and Leah is not quite yet taking orders for that time frame. Booking dates open one month prior to the start of each month, for example, if you want to book sometime in March, that calendar will open February 1st. If you want to book sometime in July, that calendar will open June 1.
If you see… “AVAILABLE - ACCEPTING ORDERS” it means that Leah is available and you should proceed with next steps below to place your order! Yay!
Attention! LARGE ORDERS/EVENTS/WEDDINGS/COMPANY ORDERS - If you have an event in the future you are wanting to book and need to know far in advance if it is something Leah can accommodate and book you for, please contact Leah directly at lsdborders@gmail.com and she will take care of booking with you and helping you place your order.
2. PLACING YOUR ORDER. Go ahead and browse through different flavors and options of cakesicles, cupcakes and more, then add whatever you want to your cart. If you are ordering *a cake*, it is very important that you go through each step and add each step to the cart. For example, 1. Choose your cake size and cake flavor (ADD TO CART), then go back to 2. Choose your filling flavor (ADD TO CART), then back to steps 3, 4 and 5, following the same process! (If you are ordering more than one CAKE, please “build” and pay for one cake at a time. So that Leah knows which size/flavor/etc goes with which cake. ) Let’s move to the checking out process!
3. CHECKING OUT. At checkout or in your “shopping cart” it is very important that you do two things before proceeding with payment. First, please give a brief description of the theme that you want your order to represent in the notes section. For example, “this order is for my grandmother’s 90th birthday. Her favorite colors are pink, purple and blue. She loves gardening and butterflies, please include those two things along with “Happy 90th Birthday” written on it as well.” Or another example, “the theme of my son’s birthday is spiderman. He prefers the black and red spiderman over the blue and red spiderman. Please include the number 8 somewhere.” After you include your notes/details please then use the date & time picker. Leah asks that you trust her with her skills, experience and creativity to come up with a design for you without inspiration photos, just some inspiration “details!” On to choosing your date & pick-up time!
4. USING THE DATE & TIME PICKER. First, Please make sure you select the correct PICK-UP DATE (the date you want your order to be ready!) and make sure it aligns with Leah’s availability in her Google Calendar that you reviewed above. If an order is placed and paid for on a date that is marked BOOKED on the Google Calendar, your order will be canceled and you will be refunded as soon as possible. Again, select your preferred PICK-UP date, NOT the day of the event. Leah needs to know what date to have your order ready for you to pick-up.
5. PICK-UP HOURS: Monday thru Friday 3:00pm-5:00pm, Saturdays 8:30am-10:00am. Please pick a time in those days/time slots that works BEST for you. If requesting a special pick-up time, please place your order and then email Leah at lsdborders@gmail.com and she will try to accommodate a time that works better in your schedule.
6. PAYING & PICKING UP. Yay! You are almost done - you can go ahead and finish checking out by entering your payment information and submitting! Your order is now completely paid for! Note that your order is not secured and added to Leah’s calendar until you have completed the ordering process and have paid for your order. If you need to make changes to your order closer to your order date, for example if 12 more guests RSVP’d to the party, you can always go back in and order another dozen cupcakes and it will get sent to Leah and it will be added to your order. You won’t be able to downsize your order once it is placed but you are free to add more to your order at any time. After you pay and submit, you will get an order confirmation email immediately with pick-up details. If you don’t get one, check your spam folder! If you STILL don’t see it, please email Leah to make sure your order went through at lsdborders@gmail.com
7. THANK YOU. Thank you for reading through this and for trusting me with your special occasions and treats. With being a busy mom and wearing many hats, the biggest thing I was struggling with in my business was the communication piece of it. It almost felt impossible to go back and forth with customers, on scheduling questions, order details, inspo photos, questions on pick-up, the “how do I pay?” “when do I pay?” questions. I knew it was a ME thing… I needed to be more organized and create a detailed, easy ordering process and I hope it works. More time for baking, designing & creating, less time texting/answering the same questions over and over and most importantly - customers not having to wait for my delayed responses! OOPS.
